LIST OF ISSUES
"I come from a proud family that has been involved with public service for as long as I can remember. I want to work for you. We need to create more living wage jobs, improve our schools, and make public safety a prioity. 
Education

As federal overreach in our education system has grown, positive outcomes have diminished.  We need to end the monopoly which exists in the school system by supporting choice.  It is time to stop common core and it's one size fits all approach. Instead we should empower local school boards, local principals and teachers to make decisions that are best for students; most importantly empower parents over bureaucrats.

Veterans

We must honor those who served in the armed services to defend our freedom. I am committed to the fight for our veterans; when elected, I will work to increase employment opportunities for our veterans by offering incentives to businesses to hire veterans.

Jobs

The people who are being negatively impacted are the small business owners and their employees.  We need to cut red tape and regulations to help small businesses grow. We must encourage research, development, and innovation in our universities and business community.  I will fight for tax incentives for the small businessmen and women of this state.  It is time to stop smothering our small business owners. I will look for ways to aide in areas of expansion and development, increase wages across all pay levels thereby stimulating economic growth; with small business and expansion comes jobs and the opportunity to reignite promise for our families.

Pro family

A strong, moral culture centered on the traditional, intact married family and faith are key elements of our values  and essential to a flourishing State.

Junvenile Justice system

We say our children and youth are our greatest and most valuable resource. It is imperative we diligently work to protect and preserve their future. Because of the overwhelming number of youths entering the juvenile justice system if elected I will work with experts to examine solutions.

I will work to find ways to:

  1. lighten the load of state social workers by providing funds and resources to address the needs of our troubled youth and families.

  2. work with courts to provide alternatives to juvenile incarceration; additionally making parents more accountable for the behavior of their children.
